The Hardy Lighting Safe Area Wind Directional Indicator (HAR-WND-SS-SA) is manufactured entirely from SS316 stainless steel — mast, frame, hoop and all hardware — delivering outstanding corrosion resistance without any painted surfaces that can degrade over time.
Designed for onshore and helipad safe-area use, the unit features a 360-degree freely rotating frame that always aligns with the prevailing wind, ensuring accurate wind direction indication regardless of installation orientation. Mast lengths from 300 mm to 6000 mm allow the product to be specified for any site requirement.
Onshore helipads, heliports, hospital helipads, industrial facilities and safe-area locations where accurate wind direction indication is required by ICAO Annex 14.
Every component — mast, frame, hoop, fasteners and hardware — is manufactured from SS316 stainless steel. No painted surfaces to chip, fade or corrode.
The windsock frame rotates a full 360 degrees to always align with the wind. Non-tiltable fixed vertical axis for consistent, accurate readings.
Available in Ø30×120, Ø45×250 and Ø50×150 cm to match ICAO visibility and extension requirements. Windsock cloth sold separately for easy field replacement.
Mast available from 300 mm to 6000 mm (up to 6 m) in 1-metre increments. DN65 flange mounting with 4× M16 bolts suits most standard bases.
Fully sealed to IP66 — dust-tight and protected against powerful water jets from any direction. Suitable for outdoor use in all weather conditions.
