The Hardy Lighting Green Perimeter Light is a 32cd green LED perimeter light purpose-built to mark the landing zone boundary on helidecks and helipads, giving pilots a clear visual reference during approach, hover and landing. Rated at 32cd and finished in aviation green, it is fully compliant with ICAO and CAP 437 standards for helideck and rooftop perimeter lighting installations.

The light uses a microprocessor-controlled LED engine with integrated temperature and voltage sensors, housed in a compact, aerodynamic, marine-grade aluminium enclosure. A breather valve prevents internal condensation, and the low-drag profile minimises wind resistance in exposed rooftop and offshore locations. Engineered in Europe, assembled in the UAE, the Green Perimeter Light is IP66 rated, salt-spray tested for 240 hours, independently photometric tested, and backed by a 2-year warranty.

Green perimeter light layouts for helidecks and helipads

The number of units required for helipad perimeter lighting depends on deck size, shape and the spacing rules set by your civil aviation authority. The range is certified against ICAO Annex 14 and UK CAA CAP 437. A helideck perimeter light scheme is normally specified alongside the White Obstruction Light (FATO and Approach) and the Internally Lighted Windsock.

32cd Green Perimeter Light for Boundary Marking

Aviation-green 32cd output that clearly defines the FATO and TLOF boundary on helidecks and helipads, giving pilots an unambiguous edge reference on approach, hover and touchdown.

ICAO, CAP 437 & FAA L-810 Type B Compliant

Built to ICAO Annex 14 and CAP 437 and compliant with FAA L-810 Type B. Vertical beam profile and colour chromaticity are as per CAP437/ICAO, with independent photometric testing before dispatch.

Microprocessor-Controlled LED Engine

Software-controlled LED driver with integrated temperature and voltage monitoring sensors maintains stable 32cd output across an AC 85–264V or DC 10–26V input range, compatible with most helideck power distribution systems.

Low-Drag Aerodynamic Body

A compact, lightweight and aerodynamic profile minimises wind resistance on exposed rooftop and offshore decks, and speeds up installation across a large perimeter light array.

Marine-Grade Aluminium, IP66 & Salt-Spray Tested

Weatherproof powder-coated marine-grade aluminium enclosure with a breather valve preventing internal condensation. IP66 rated and salt-spray tested for 240 hours for the corrosive, high-humidity conditions typical of offshore helidecks.

100,000+ Hour Life, IR Option & 2-Year Warranty

Maintenance-free LED design rated beyond 100,000 hours, with an optional infrared channel for NVG-compatible operations (12W with IR). Engineered in Europe, assembled in the UAE with a 2-year manufacturer warranty.

What is a green perimeter light used for?

Green perimeter lights are installed around the edge of a helideck or helipad landing zone to clearly mark its boundary for pilots during approach, hover and landing, as required by ICAO and CAP 437 standards.

How many perimeter lights are typically needed for a helideck?

The quantity depends on the helideck's size, shape and the relevant civil aviation authority's spacing requirements. Our engineering team can help calculate the correct quantity and layout for your specific deck.

Is the Green Perimeter Light suitable for offshore helidecks?

Yes. The marine-grade aluminium enclosure and 240-hour salt spray testing make it suitable for the corrosive, high-humidity conditions typical of offshore helidecks.

What power supply does the Green Perimeter Light require?

It accepts AC 85–264V or DC 10–26V input, making it compatible with most helideck power distribution systems.

Does the Green Perimeter Light come with a warranty?

Yes, it is backed by a 2-year manufacturer warranty and is independently photometric tested before dispatch.
